Proficiency certifications and tests

TCF certification

Created by the International Centre for Pedagogical Studies (CIEP), the French language test (TCF) is a recognised certification of your level in French and is valid for 2 years. There are 3 different TCFs:

TCF

You want to assess your French language skills for personal, academic or professional reasons. 

TCF DAP (Preliminary Admission Application)

You are a foreign student and you want to enrol for year 1 of a degree in a French university or a French architecture school.

TCF ANF (for persons wishing to acquire French Nationality)

You must demonstrate your level of French in the context of an application for French nationality.

Level test - Dialang

DIALANG is a language self-assessment programme developed by a group of European higher education institutions. It assesses the level of competence in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CECRL/CEFR). The skills assessed are reading and writing, oral comprehension, grammar and vocabulary.

Dialang is available in 18 languages via the Language Centre’s computer terminals.
