The aim of this course is to present mathematical notions for the resolution of acoustical problems and signal processing. It is divided in lectures and exercises;

Part 1: Introductory lecture : what is a physical field ?, from functions to distributions : a basic approach, we are living in an Hilbert Spaces
Part 2: Hilbert Spaces : scalar products in vectorial spaces, basic notions on Lebesgue’s integral, Hilbert’s spaces and basis, projections on Hilbert Basis
Part 3: Distribution theory From scalar products to test spaces, definition and properties of distributions, physical fields in terms of distribution
Part 4: Integral transforms for PDE resolution, Fourier transform of distributions . Laplace transform for complex functions. Special functions
