Le Mans Université is constantly aware of the changing nature of the job market, and so regularly innovates and adapts its teaching methods and its course content. Numerous professionals contribute to the elaboration of the courses and to the delivery
of the classes themselves, at all levels (technological institute degrees, professional degrees, masters, and engineering specialties) or conferences.

Half of all students are registered in a professionalising specialisation course.

As an important figure in the planning and development of the region, Le Mans Université every day shows its willingness to develop and increase its partnerships with the local, regional, national and international socio-economic environment, each day. The University has developed a Research, Innovation, Science and Society Directorate (Direction de la Recherche, Innovation, Sciences et Société - DRIS), promoting innovation, technology transfer and the know-how of our laboratories to firms; a department to help people enter the professional world; and a department of continuing education to respond to the training needs of businesses and individuals.

International students make up 17,6% of the university’s student body, allowing Le Mans Université to demonstrate its openness to the wider world and its attractiveness on an
international scale (national average: 13%). Every year, more and more students from around the world come to Le Mans to discover the assets of the University and to help it shine.
