The GAINS research group gathers together researchers in the fields of economics and business. The first objective of the team is to analyze the interactions between the agents and the government in the labor market. To this end, new methods in econometrics and simulation methods are proposed. Current research on this topic focuses on active labor market policies, low-skilled unemployment, and retirement decisions.
The second topic focuses on economic choices under uncertainty. The applied work deal with environmental economics or insurance choices.
Finally, the last topic is the analysis of the optimal management of the small size firm, and more specifically, the management of employees. Recently, the research in this field has focused on the non-profit sector.
